Amelia Hicks
I'm an educator, researcher, and former academic philosopher. Most of my published work is related to moral philosophy and metaethics, but these days I have broad interests across the humanities and social sciences.
I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 2014, and worked as an assistant and then associate philosophy professor at Kansas State University until 2023. I then moved to the Boston area and discovered the joys of alternative education for teenagers. I now offer a wide range of interdisciplinary courses tailored to the needs and interests of diverse learners.
In addition to research and teaching, I enjoy plant-based cookery, dog walking, dog training, and watching horror movies with Graham Leach-Krouse.
