Amelia Hicks
I'm an educator, researcher, and former academic philosopher. Most of my work is related to moral philosophy. I'm especially interested in ethical issues related to neurodivergence, non-ideal moral theory, and moral uncertainty.
I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 2014, and worked as an assistant and then associate philosophy professor at Kansas State University until 2023. I then moved to the Boston area and discovered the joys of alternative education for teenagers.
In addition to philosophy, I enjoy plant-based cookery, dog walking, dog training, watching horror movies with Graham Leach-Krouse, and experimenting with audio production.
